The Legacy
Greenward Indoor farms is a Mumbai-based startup conceptualised by Zameer Manekia, a 4th Generation Entrepreneur, with a proven track record of successfully launching and running various businesses. His long-standing association and relationships with large FMCG players such as ITC, Godfrey Phillips, Nestlé, HUL, etc puts him in a unique position of analysing the market, its intricacies and shortfalls.
Zameer identified a significant gap in the ever-growing organic farming sector regarding quality produce and hyper-local availability.
Hydroponics came to mind. In a nutshell, for hyper-local produce in developed metro cities, the only solution is Hydroponic farming. Skip the soil and feed the roots with nutrient-rich water and the produce is almost magical!
Thus Greenward was born with a long-term plan to cater to retail and B2B, with the only focus on quality.

Mr. Vinod Yerande
Mr. Vinod is the Head Agronomist at Greenward Farms. He has been managing 22 Acres of family farmland near Pune. The family has been one of the leading suppliers to multiple global brands including ITC. His knowledge and affection towards plants and the environment is the driving force behind his efficiency.
